Legendary Or Mediocrity?

You are okay with living in poverty for the rest of your life. You are comfortable eating whatever comes your way and not what you prefer. You are comfortable with those poor grades. Do you fear to start? Keep the fear burning until you die without impact.

You perceive that you do not have time, support, and capital. So many excuses on your table. People 's opinions worry you out. If you can't start then let your cowardness climb and be comfortable with being mediocre.

Legends don't fear, they don't back down because of failure. They don't stop because of rejections. They keep going no matter how wavy the path is. They tie their purpose to the Almighty. They read books, they follow legendary stories because they aspire to be legends.

The late Bob Collymore (C. E. O of Safaricom) started from the jaws of poverty. He first worked as a cleaner in a shop. Bob died a legend. He touched lives, he changed the life of his family. He was born poor but died rich; materially and spiritually. If you are not impressed by your life you have to change. If you want good character then go learn about it, if you want to be a great writer practice, read and join writing masterclasses. Don't just sit. Get out of your comfort zone and roar.

Colonel Harland Sanders started KFC which became the world's biggest brand. Behind this success lies a story of hardship. Sanders was born in poverty. He lost his father at the age of 12 years. He was harassed by his stepfather until he left home. Sanders dropped out of school and started working on a farm 80 miles away from home. At the age of 30 years, he became a cook and a dishwasher. He loved cooking. Later on, he opened a 150 seat model. His chicken menu was rejected 1009 times and he never gave up. Sanders is a true description of Persistence, Competence, and Determination. Today everyone enjoys Kentucky Fried Chicken. Sanders started a charity organization to support the less fortunate and to pay hospital bills for the sick. Sanders touched lives.

Legends are not born they are made. Everyone has obstacles but how we perceive them is what draws the line between Legendary and Mediocrity. If you choose to feel demoralized it's up to you. You can opt to be stronger and optimistic about every trial you encounter. If you want to be a legend.
