A Review of the The Smart Money Woman


An intriguing story of a young African woman. She works as a senior manager at Richmond, a real estate company based in Lagos. You can guess her salary,  even though she  has a huge salary, she finds herself broke in the middle of the month.Zuri hasn't paid her rent yet, her car is stuck at the mechanic shop, her gynecologist awaits for her because she has growing fibroids that are a threat to her fertility. After working for eight years she does not have any assets or savings. Her salary goes to the latest designer  shoes, handbags and dresses she sees on Instagram. Zuri never misses a wedding in Lagos and each wedding called for a new _asoebi_. She decides enough is enough, she plans on how to settle the big debt. She cuts off her expenses by 50%.Zuri has four friends ;Tami, Lara, Adesuwa and Ladun. Most of her friends believe that getting a rich boyfriend or husband would help them settle their money issues. Zuri on the other hand believes in being an independent woman but she doesn't know how to become one. Her debt is dragging her down. Her friends go through hell and they loose the luxury they had. Zuri wakes up and takes lessons from her friends downfalls. 
Zuri meets Tsola, a handsome guy, a legend in the finance community, with confidence that boarded cocky. Tsola is the break through to her debts. The guy helps her  know her money goals, he connects Zuri with a network of women that help her become a smart woman.Zuri influences her friends to become smart money women.
Zuri is that woman. She is on her way to self discovery, she has learned how to manage her finances.She has the knowledge of  how to earn, keep and grow her money.
After  every chapter, there are a lessons the author shares. From how you get started when taking the financial success ladder until you reach the top. This book isn't just for women but for anyone who wants to learn how to earn money, keep money and grow money.Cudos to the Author Arese Ugwu, a smart money woman indeed. 
I love everything about this book, I love Tsola to the moon and back for being the energy to the financial success of Zuri.Finishing this read felt like bidding goodbye to a true friend I've met for a few days. 
Note:While reading this book have a pen and paper. Write down the exercises after each chapter and work on them. This book is a game changer and I give it a five start rating.
